KNOX CO., Ill. (KWQC) - A Knox County man was charged with making a terrorist threat, deputies said.

Robert L. Cassel, 58, of Yates City is charged with:

Making a terrorist threat

Disorderly conduct

Knox County deputies, and several other emergency service agencies, searched a home in Yates City Saturday evening after a suspected explosive device and person threatening to use it was reported, according to a media release.

Officials said specialized units searched the home and all suspicious items found inside were collected as evidence.

Deputies said there is no active threat to the public, at this time.
