UNION CITY, Tenn. (WSIL) -- A shooting incident at the Volume Lounge in Union City left one person dead and multiple others injured early Sunday morning.

Union City Police and Obion County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene at 202 Railroad Street. Police said multiple gunshots were heard around 12:34 a.m. Inside the venue, officers found several individuals with gunshot wounds.

Paramedics transported the injured to Union City Baptist Memorial Hospital. Police said Omariyon Harper, 23 of Union City, was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Authorities have identified a person of interest and are working to locate and interview them regarding the shooting. Investigators are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
