The Boston Bruins made a roster move ahead of their road game against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.
Boston activated forward Elias Lindholm off injured reserve and placed defenseman Charlie McAvoy on injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 15.
Lindholm had been out of the lineup since Oct. 30 due to a lower-body injury, but did practice in full on Saturday. Despite him practicing in full, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm wasn’t committed to the forward playing on Sunday.
“Doesn’t mean anything yet,” Sturm said after practice on Saturday. “We’ll see, still going day by day. See how he feels today, see how he feels tomorrow, and kind of go from there.”
With Lindholm being activated from injured reserve, it gives him the chance to return to the lineup on Sunday. This season, he has four
