Georgia coach Kirby Smart dismissed offensive lineman Nyier Daniels Monday after authorities arrested the redshirt freshman Sunday in Jackson County. Daniels faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an incident in which he allegedly fled law enforcement, according to jail records provided to WXIA-TV . Daniels' mother, Brandi Canada-Green, was also charged with one felony and five misdemeanor charges in the incident.

"I have not had a chance to talk to him or his family, but obviously he'll no longer be with us," Smart said in his Monday media availability .
