HARTFORD – The UConn men’s basketball team has a new Mr. Triple-Double.
Silas Demary Jr. , the junior point guard brought in from Georgia to make a Tristen Newton-like impact, had his hands all over Sunday’s 79-42 win over Bryant in a sold-out PeoplesBank Arena.
Demary fired a pass down to freshman center Eric Reibe for a dunk with three minutes to play, which got him to 10 assists, 10 points and 10 rebounds for the first triple-double of his career. It was the first triple-double for the Huskies since Newton was running point and set the program record at four over his well-decorated career, two each season he was in Storrs.
