DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Police are investigating after a man was shot in Decatur Sunday afternoon.

According to the Decatur Police Department, officers responded to the area of North Monroe Street and West Waggoner Street around 1:40 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

DPD said a man showed up the hospital a short time later after being shot in the arm.

Police said after investigation, they figured out the shooting happened near the intersection of North Monroe Street and West Grand Avenue.

Officers are still looking for a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Decatur Police Department at 217-424-2711.
