GARLAND, Texas (KBTX) - A&M Consolidated volleyball made it further than any other team in program history by advancing to the Class 5A Div. I state championship match.
Consol (37-10) fell to Highland Park (43-8) 25-18, 25-22, 25-17 Saturday at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland in the state title match.
Harper Korenek and Jillian Vinal paced the Tigers with 8 kills each. Berkley White added 4 blocks.
Sophomore Sarah Floyd won MVP and led the Scots with 14 kills and 2 blocks.
Highland Park captured its first state championship in program history in its third trip to the finals.
