Stefan Vaaks scored 15 points and nailed a pair of clutch 3-pointers to lift Providence to a 77-65 win over Penn State on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Uncasville, Conn.

Jason Edwards had 14 points and six rebounds, Jaylin Sellers scored 13 with four dunks and Oswin Erhunmwunse tallied 11 points, eight boards and four blocks for the Friars (4-2), who led the entire second half but needed Vaaks' shots to stave off the Nittany Lions ' late push.

Providence head coach Kim English credited the Friar fans who came out in force to support the team on the road. "I thought our fans were incredible and gave us a ton of energy throughout," English said.

"This is our home away from home," said Edwards, adding that the Providence fans' presence was felt.
