LAS VEGAS - After seeing his offense give up 10 sacks on Sunday in a 24-10 loss to the Browns , Raiders coach Pete Carroll didn’t wait long to make a change.

Carroll fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly on Sunday evening shortly after the game ended.

The Raiders ran 75 plays against Cleveland but could produce only 268 yards, much of it late in the fourth quarter when the game was decided.

The Raiders fell to 2-9 and are firmly in last place in the AFC West. The Browns moved to 3-8.

“I spoke with Chip Kelly earlier this evening and informed him of his release as offensive coordinator of the Raiders,” Carroll said in a statement. “I would like to thank Chip for his service and wish him all the best in the future.”

Kelly was in his first season with the Raiders.
