CHAPEL HILL — Every episode of UNC football ’s season continues to feature different plot twists that result in the same bitter endings.
There’s been a common theme to the troubles of the Tar Heels (4-7, 2-5 ACC), according to wide receiver Jordan Shipp.
“We lost seven games, we beat ourselves for seven games, and we didn’t play to our standard in seven games,” Shipp said after UNC’s 32-25 loss to Duke in the latest edition of the Victory Bell rivalry.
“That’s what it comes down to.”
That troubling trend continued against the Blue Devils (6-5, 5-2), who rang and celebrated with the Victory Bell on UNC’s midfield logo at Kenan Stadium after becoming bowl eligible.
