The Los Angeles Lakers are off to an impressive start this season. Despite another strong outing from Keyonte George, the Utah Jazz were unable to contain Los Angeles and fell in a narrow 108–106 loss.

Jazz-Lakers had multiple highlights moment throughout the game. The closing moments of the game, however, sparked controversy and left questions about whether the Jazz were denied a fair chance to win.

In the final possession, Smart pushed George to the floor while attempting to navigate around a screen. Before Svi Mykhailiuk could inbound the ball, Smart appeared to hold and push George.

However, the referees did not call a foul. The play immediately raised debate over whether the Jazz were “robbed” by the officials in a critical moment of the game.
