Sunday afternoon brought one of the best victories in University of Rhode Island women’s basketball history.

The Rams knocked off just a second ranked team since their program’s founding, going to Reynolds Coliseum and taking out No. 16 North Carolina State on Nov. 23.

Ines Debroise’s steal and pair of clutch free throws helped push URI over the top in Raleigh. The Rams closed out a 68-63 triumph in a guarantee game on the road, grabbing both a paycheck and a signature victory in this matchup with the Wolfpack.
