The chief executive of Velindre NHS trust has left his role a year after starting. David Donegan was announced as the new chief executive in September 2024 with an announcement he would start in December.
Mr Donegan's LinkedIn says he started the role in November. He came to Wales from Cork, where he had been the CEO of Cork University Hospitals Group.
Originally from Ireland, he had spent most of his career in the NHS , including over a decade in board level positions in strategic health authorities, acute hospitals, and ambulance services in England. He has also worked as interim director of
