For all of the potential of being a winter wonderland and all of that, Ohio locales and shooting locations for holiday-themed films could be called a bit pedestrian.

Are we not worthy? Does the state not merit being home for the holidays?

Well, for the sake of those wintry settings, no we are not and the reason is quite simple. The weather around here. Remember the old adage about temperamental Mother Nature? "If you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute and it will change?"

Yes, that’s December in Ohio, and especially Northeast Ohio. One day we could be looking at temps near freezing in the holiday season’s prime month and then it could be in the low 60s, warm enough to smoke turkey and prime rib instead of dropping them in the oven and turning the kitchen into a sweat box.
