A chilling drama has landed on Netflix, renowned for its true crime content, and is rapidly ascending the streaming platform's most-watched television rankings.

The miniseries on Netflix, which is also home to The Carman Family Deaths, was initially broadcast in three hour-long episodes on ITV and chronicles the life and offences of convicted killer Malcolm Webster.

The Widower, as the programme is titled, recounts how during a 13-year span, an outwardly unassuming nurse "set about poisoning and murdering his first wife, attempting to do the same to his second wife and moving on to a further scheme to deceive his third fiancée".
