FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Greater Fort Wayne is launching an advertising campaign to bring a casino to the Summit City.
Last week, the Chamber of Commerce debuted a new ad campaign and website called “ Fort Wayne First ."
Campaign organizers are trying to rally support for building a casino in Fort Wayne, arguing that economic growth will come with a casino.
The Fort Wayne First website says a casino would bring good-paying jobs, partnerships with small businesses, increased tax revenue, and attract tourism.
This new campaign comes less than a month after a state-funded report named Auburn among the top locations for a new casino.
That report came after attempts to build a casino in New Haven were blocked earlier this year at the Indiana General Assembly.
