New Jersey’s “Mile Square City” is about to get a new mayor.

Hoboken voters will decide between council members Emily Jabbour and Michael Russo in a Dec. 2 runoff election for mayor.

Jabbour finished first among six candidates in the Nov. 4 general election with 27%, followed by Russo with 24%.

Hoboken, like neighboring Jersey City, holds runoffs between the top two vote-getters when the first-place general election finisher fails to get above 50% of the vote.

The winner of the runoff will succeed Mayor Ravi Bhalla , who opted not to seek a third term and won a seat in the state Assembly earlier this month.

Hoboken’s next mayor will receive a $130,000 salary, up from Bhalla’s $116,950 salary, a city spokesperson told NJ Advance Media.
