Frustration is the name of the game at Portman Road right now. Not for over 19 months have we had to sit through a 0-0 draw at home (against Watford in April 2024).

These last two games against Watford and Wrexham have left us all feeling vexed. Especially with successive 4-1 away wins showing more of what we are capable of.

So why is there a marked difference? There are a couple of reasons that present themselves more than most. Deep blocking visitors and rotation!

The latter argument will just not go away. I get the arguments for a settled side, I do.

But if someone has to come in totally out of the cold with no game time at all, are they really going to contribute much?
