The City Wide Club of America is calling for urgent help ahead of its 47th annual Thanksgiving Day Super Feast, warning that cuts to SNAP benefits and widespread job losses have created a surge in food insecurity across Houston.
The event will be held Thursday, Nov. 27, at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Recognized as the nation’s largest single-day feeding program, Super Feast serves more than 25,000 families each year with the help of over 6,000 volunteers.
