The pairing has quickly been thrust into a high-stakes tag team feud following their recent action in Mexico. The name for this newly created duo was recently revealed via a backstage video to be Los Gringos Locos 2.0.

The formation of the team began at the Heroes Inmortales 2025 event in Mexico City. During that show, Dominik Mysterio successfully defended his AAA Mega Championship against Dragon Lee. The match descended into chaos after Mysterio won using his classic heel tactics.
