BRAINTREE, Mass. —

MBTA officials reported delays on part of the Red Line on Monday morning, where they said "multiple disabled trains" were pulled from service.

A series of social media posts indicates the delays were first reported just after 7 a.m. and involved a disabled train near Braintree. About 90 minutes later, a disabled train was reported at JFK/UMass.

As of 9:20 a.m., delays were estimated at approximately 30 minutes.

Passengers were advised to use the Commuter Rail for alternate service between Braintree and South Station. Riders at North Quincy were told to take the Route 210 bus to Fields Corner and transfer to the Ashmont Branch.
