CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - As an estimated 81 million Americans are expected to travel for Thanksgiving this year, AAA is offering Iowans a backup plan to get there safely.
‘Tow to Go’ is a free ride-and-tow service is available to anyone needing a last-minute ride within a 10-mile radius. AAA says it’s a backup option for impaired individuals when designated drivers or rideshare plans fall through.
The service is available from 6 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. December 1. The service can be requested by calling 855-286-9246.
It’s part of an effort to keep impaired drivers off the road, AAA says.
