A Brookline police sergeant has sued the town and several police officials, alleging she was denied promotions in retaliation for her truthful testimony in a sexual harassment inquiry, among other issues.

Megan Keaveney filed her civil complaint last month in Suffolk Superior Court, naming the town and police Chief Jennifer Paster, Lieutenant David Hill, Superintendent Kevin Mealy, and deputy superintendents Russell O’Neill and Michael Murphy.

Keaveney is asserting financial damages of at least $100,000, according to court records. Her suit was previously reported by Brookline News.
