Kim Krinke can’t stop creating art, which is a good thing because she’s currently in her busiest time of year building up an inventory for holiday bazaars.

On round resin discs, square tiles and rectangular glass slabs, her work showcases the beauty of nature with detailed paintings and portraits of Alaska’s famous wildlife. Moose, owls, sandhill cranes, foxes, and of course, ravens. Ravens are super popular.

Krinke works with every medium, but her smaller painted pieces are shown at craft fairs most often. In preparation for the busy season she’s been coming to Northern Whimsey every day for the past four weeks to knock out piece after piece. The bright open space helps with inspiration, and feigning off procrastination.
