Many people in Michigan make it a holiday tradition to see a movie on the big screen over the Thanksgiving holiday, when a number of new films often debut.

This holiday weekend, theaters across Michigan, including in the Grand Rapids, Lansing and Detroit areas, are screening films from Thanksgiving to Sunday, Nov. 30, according to online showtimes. Offerings this coming weekend include R-rated horror films like "Thanksgiving," family-friendly picks like "Zootopia 2," the popular musical film "Wicked: For Good," and more.
