State Rep. Kevin Ryan has passed away. The New London Democratic Town Committee announced his death on Facebook.

Ryan served the 139th House District, which includes Ledyard, Montville, and Norwich. He was also Assistant Deputy Speaker.

"Kevin's commitment to public service will be greatly missed," the town committee said in its post.
