Former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding, who competed for Canada at the 2002 Winter Olympics, has been charged with ordering the murder of a witness, according to the FBI .
In a release last week, the FBI announced that it is offering a $15 million reward for information leading to Wedding’s arrest.
The 44-year-old is described by the FBI as a narcotics trafficker on par with “El Chapo” and Pablo Escobar, and is considered “one of the world’s most dangerous fugitives.”
“He controls one of the most prolific and violent drug-trafficking organizations in this world,” U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a release.
She added that Wedding is responsible for more than $1 billion per year in illegal drug proceeds.
