Knicks announce unfortunate Landry Shamet update
New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown will have to dig deeper into his bench on Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets .
Landry Shamet, who ran into a hard screen from Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. in a loss on Saturday, is out for Monday's game against the Nets at the Barclays Center with what's being called a sprain in his right shoulder.
Further tests on the shooting guard's shoulder will determine if surgery is necessary and how much time Shamet will miss. The 28-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder almost one year ago in his first season with the Knicks.
Shamet has been a spark plug off the bench for Brown, averaging 9.3 points per game on 42% shooting from beyond the arc in 20.9 minutes per
