Thanksgiving is the single busiest holiday for travel, and AAA says this year is no exception.

For the fifth straight year, AAA is projecting an increase in the number of Thanksgiving holiday travelers.

The agency says 81.8 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home from Nov. 25 to Dec. 1.

Domestic travel this year includes an additional 1.6 million travelers compared to last Thanksgiving, setting an overall record, officials said.
