Music tycoon Simon Cowell is set to star in Netflix's brand-new docuseries, Simon Cowell: The Next Act.

The series will follow Simon, who is in a relationship with Lauren Silverman, as he embarks on a quest to discover the next big boy band, with viewers privy to everything from the initial casting calls to the release of the group's debut single.

The six-part docuseries, which is just one of his planned shows , is slated for launch on December 10, with Netflix unveiling an official trailer on November 24.

In the trailer, Simon is seen reflecting on his early career and expressing a longing for where it all began.
