LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - After seeing a 10-point fourth quarter lead slip away at Iowa, the Michigan State football team has now lost eight straight games.

The Spartans (3-8, 0-8 Big Ten) head to Detroit this weekend to take on Maryland at Ford Field looking to avoid their first winless Big Ten season since 1958.

Head coach Jonathan Smith on Monday will hold his final weekly press conference of the season, taking a look back at the loss to Iowa and previewing the Maryland game.
