MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — An 18-year-old woman who was charged with planning a mass shooting at Mooresville High School was sentenced Monday.

Trinity Shockley was sentenced Nov. 24 to 12 years in prison with five years of mental health probation.

The Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department received information around 7 p.m. Feb. 11 from the FBI about someone who was potentially planning a school shooting on Feb. 14, 2025.

During the department's investigation, officers identified the person of interest as Shockley. Court documents say Trinity is transgender, going by the name Jamie. During court hearings, Shockley answered to Trinity, and Shockley's attorney told 13News that she/her pronouns are acceptable for Shockley.
