Imarried my wife in 1997. I took her away from her home in Alabama, where she had lived her whole life, to Newnan. I thought she was getting the deal of a lifetime. One of the coolest cities around, and me. What a great combination.

Reality for her was moving to a strange new town, where her husband left for four days each week to go fly and make a living, then returned with a load of dirty laundry.

Looking back, I now understand that while it was a change in lifestyle for us both, she got the harder part of the bargain. Being left alone in a completely new environment is rough. So for companionship and protection, we decided to get a dog.
