MANHATTAN — The third time was the charm for Manhattan.

After losing in the State B championship game in each of the past two seasons, the Tigers finally got over the hump Saturday in front of more than 3,100 fans. Manhattan scored the first 21 points of the contest and shut down a high-powered Three Forks offense in a 28-7 victory.

It capped an unbeaten season for Manhattan, which claimed its first state championship since 2020. Senior lineman Brady Toner said it was a weight off his shoulders following back-to-back title losses to Florence-Carlton and Malta.
