FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 30-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced Monday in a shooting that killed a man and injured another last year.
Tyshawn Morris pleaded guilty to murder last month in the shooting that killed 32-year-old Ryan Patrick Harding in the 6000 block of Melan Cove on June 16, 2024. He also pleaded guilty to attempted murder for injuring another man in the shooting.
Two criminal recklessness charges were dismissed in exchange for Morris pleading guilty to the higher-level felonies.
Allen Superior Court Judge David Zent sentenced Morris to 65 years in prison, per the defendant’s plea agreement.
