Three women and a toddler died in the Brampton fire last week, Peel police spokesperson Tyler Bell-Morena confirmed Monday at a news conference at the scene.
Three people were previously unaccounted for, Bell-Morena added. Two died and one has been found safe, he said.
Jugraj Singh was working when the fire broke out, police later located him at the hospital with his family, including his wife who lost her unborn child when she was injured fleeing the blaze.
Singh is a truck driver who was working in the U.S. and he flew back when he found out about the fire.
On Friday afternoon, police said they had found what they believe are the remains of an adult in the remnants of the home.
A total of 11 people, including nine family members, were inside the semi-detached property on Banas Way
