Karachi’s rain battered roads are set to undergo a major overhaul as Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah approved Rs25 billion for the repair and fresh carpeting. The city administration has selected 315 internal streets and reconstruction of 60 major arteties.
Chairing a meeting at the CM House on Monday, he stressed that work must begin immediately to address chronic traffic congestion and deteriorating infrastructure. During the meeting, it was highlighted that ongoing projects, including the Korangi Causeway Bridge, Shahrah-e-Bhutto Expressway, and Kareemabad Underpass, with several stretches are expected to open within the next few months.
