HUNTINGTON — The driver of a semitruck was transported by Cabell County EMS after crashing into the SMC Electrical Products building Monday morning, near the intersection of Ohio River Road (W.Va. 2) and Big Ben Bowen Highway northeast of Huntington.
Cabell County 911 dispatch said the call came at 6:42 a.m., and it took about two hours to free the driver, who was trapped in the vehicle.
A technical rescue truck needed to free him had to be brought in from Hurricane.
The truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The condition of the driver is unavailable at this time.
