Canadian folk icon Joni Mitchell will receive a lifetime achievement award at the 55th annual Juno Awards in Hamilton next year.
The show will be broadcast live on March 29 from the just re-opened and renovated TD Coliseum, which Paul McCartney christened on Friday night, on CBC and CBC Gem.
Mitchell, a four-time Juno winner and Companion of the Order of Canada , “will be celebrated for her trailblazing artistry that has inspired generations of creators across genres,” says a release from The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), who made the announcement Monday morning.
The 82-year-old singer-songwriter suffered a brain a neurysm in 2015 that left her unable to talk and walk but she has slowly re-emerged as a performer with the help of Brandi Carlile , incl
