An Onaping man is one of two people charged after a traffic stop near Elliot Lake produced drugs.
The East Algoma OPP said in a release that officers pulled over a black four-door sedan travelling northbound on Highway 108 towards Elliot Lake at around 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 21.
Police located suspected Oxycodone pills, a scale, cellphones and cash. Officers arrested two people and towed the vehicle.
Trevor Gosselin, 55, of Onaping, was charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking an opioid other than heroin.
Jacqueline (Jackie) Mongrain, 53, of Elliot Lake, was charged with possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Jan. 15.
