PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Last night, the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District posted photos from a dog rescue that it says took nearly three hours.
According to the fire protection district, crews were called to The Red Shed on Truman Street to perform a rescue for a dog, named “Popcorn,” who was reported stuck inside a hole after chasing a raccoon.
The hole was described as 12 to 15 feet deep.
Crews used shovels and extrication tools to remove a large amount of heavy concrete and dirt, freeing Popcorn.
