Over half of UK teenagers still see mechanics as male and nurses as female roles, according to a recent survey. The poll, which surveyed 1,000 youngsters aged 13–17, revealed that a staggering 72% believe certain careers and job roles are gender-specific. It reported that industries such as construction, childcare, and beauty were most commonly associated with a specific gender.
