Souris-Moose Mountain MP Steven Bonk brought the national conversation on criminal justice to the southeast Saturday, hosting a town hall meeting in Estevan focused on crime and bail reform.
Bonk was joined by special guest Larry Brock, the Conservative Shadow Minister of Justice and Attorney General, to discuss the community’s concerns regarding public safety.
According to Bonk, the meeting highlighted a growing frustration among residents regarding repeat offenders.
"People are very tired of the current system, where we have basically a revolving door of criminals, where you're arrested one day and you're out the next, or sometimes even within an hour," Bonk said.
