A nurse failed to properly fit the feeding tube of a four-week-old baby who died in the neonatal intensive care unit at Wales' leading hospital, an inquest has heard. Lakshith Guptha Nalla died at the University Hospital of Wales in the early hours of May 11, 2024, and Pontypridd Coroner's Court heard that since that day, his parents' lives have "changed forever."
The court heard that at the time of his death, the NICU was understaffed and that baby Nalla, who needed constant feeding via a feeding tube, had not been fed for over four hours.
