Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Monday waded into the Democratic primary for the open U.S. House seat in Oakland County, endorsing state Sen. Jeremy Moss of Bloomfield Township.
Moss is seeking the Democratic nomination in Michigan's 11th District, where U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Birmingham, is running for Senate.
Others vying for the Democratic nomination include retired Ford Motor Co. engineer Don Ufford, Dr. Anil Kumar, Aisha Farooqi, Stu Baker and John Paul Torres. Other well-known politicians who had reportedly been mulling campaigns, including former U.S. Rep. Andy Levin and Oakland County Commissioner Dave Woodward, haven't jumped in.
