The rookie offensive lineman suffered a high-ankle sprain, according to the NFL Network. Wilson suffered the injury during the first drive of the Patriots ’ win in Cincinnati. After being carted off the field, he left Paycor Stadium with a boot on his right foot, along with a walking cane.

The next likely move is for Wilson to be placed on the injured reserve.

High ankle sprains can take anywhere from four to six weeks to recover. The Patriots have five games left and six weeks total remaining in the 2025 NFL season. Wilson’s availability will depend on his recovery.
