BALTIMORE —

The CIAA has announced a new ambassador, months before the athletic conference's men's and women's basketball tournaments return to Baltimore .

Pinky Cole Hayes, a Baltimore native known for her restaurant chain, Slutty Vegan, will help with "showcasing what's possible when opportunity meets intention," according to a news release.

She recently opened a restaurant at the Baltimore Peninsula.

Tickets for this year's tournament are available for purchase . During this weekend's Black Friday sale from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1, attendees can enter the code CIAA to get 50% off general admission tickets for the weekend.
