PHOENIX — U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona said the Pentagon's investigation into his involvement in a video calling for U.S. troops to defy "illegal orders" won't intimidate him from doing his job.

On Monday, the Pentagon announced it was investigating the Democrat for possible breaches of military law after he and other lawmakers released a video addressing service members, telling them they "can refuse illegal orders." The video prompted a harsh response from President Donald Trump, calling the video "seditious behavior."

The Department of War said the agency was initiating a review of "serious allegations" against Kelly and indicated that the senator may be subject to a "recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures."
