COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina punt returner Vicari Swain has been named one of the five finalists for a top national award.

Swain has been named a finalist for the Jet Award, which honors the nation’s top return specialist.

The Gamecocks’ kick returner is ranked sixth in the FBS with an average of nearly 17 yards per kick return. He is one of just two players in the nation to return three punts for a touchdown this season.

Swain is one of the five finalists.

The winner is selected by members of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) along with former Jet Award winners and award co-founders Johnny Rodgers and William Reed.
