Idrissa Gueye was shown a red card early in Everton's match with Manchester United after clashing with his own team-mate in bizarre scenes.
The Toffees midfield was seen angrily exchanging words with Michael Keane following a chance for United, with Keane sticking his head forward. But Gueye then lost his cool and raised his hand into Keane's face as the red mist descended.
He had to be restrained by other members of the Everton team including Jordan Pickford after being given his marching orders.
Gary Neville was in disbelief watching the events unfold on commentary for Sky Sports . "He slapped his own teammate - he's gone," Neville said.
